People often tell me that Mr. N totally understands English. In order to demonstrate his English skills, he is going to explain prepositions in relation to dog poses.
On
Being on a surface. Useful for posing on logs, statues, benches, trees etc.
Through
Things with a top, bottom, and sides. Locations for poses include tunnels, tree roots, people’s legs, and playground fixtures.
In
Inside a vehicle, place, item etc. Perfect for showing off your dog’s travel itinerary.
By/Next to
Left/right of somebody or something. Necessary for multiple dog poses, posing with other species.
Under
Lower than something else. Furniture is ideal as is showing off your dog’s crawl skills.
Over
Getting to the other side or surmounting an obstacle. Trick poses work well for these like hoops, and jumps.

To
Movement from one place/person to another. Great for action shots.

Does your dog have a favorite preposition pose?

Totally brilliant post! I think this is a fabuloous idea! I can't even begin to try that with our cats though!! 🙂
Well done

Great post! Those pictures are so cute! Phoenix definitely likes posing on top of things, the crazier the thing the better and lots of jumping through things, too. Zoe doesn't really like posing out in the environment but she's happy to do it at home.

Mine are probably "on" – I luvs bein on top!
February 5, 2016 11:25 am
My favorite preposition is "in" because it's the coziest. I love how you're walking on 2 feet, Mr. N. I only do that when mom holds a treat for me to follow!
Love and licks,
Cupcake

Mr. N likes hopping around on his hind legs.
February 5, 2016 12:25 pm
I don't think we have any prepositions in our arsenal, except for "off" which has nothing to do with posing. Mom always chooses odd words for us! These are cool prepositions for posing, though. Never thought about using prepositions.

Mr. N. has such a wide vocabulary! And he poses wonderfully.
February 8, 2016 11:58 pm
He does know a lot of words!
February 5, 2016 3:14 pm
Mr. N, you certainly have mastered those prepositions, and you look great doing it too! Thanks for the English lesson 🙂
February 5, 2016 5:15 pm
Great job, Mr. N! You are a master! I think the goldens have mastered, rollover and scratch my belly! lol
February 8, 2016 11:58 pm
Those are some of Mr. N's favorites.
February 5, 2016 6:31 pm
Fantastic post and pics 🙂
February 5, 2016 7:16 pm
Such a magnificent poser!
February 5, 2016 7:19 pm
What a good model dog!
February 5, 2016 8:41 pm
Mr. N is smart AND talented! We use "up" a lot – I think that can be considered a preposition sometimes? (I was an English major in college but that was a LONG time ago..LOL).

Mr. N is so smart! He makes an incredible model. I'm always amazed at his photos. I might just have to start teaching these words to my kitties. 🙂

Show dogs (and cats?) start stacking themselves after a while. Mr. N put himself into pose position lol.
February 6, 2016 12:47 am
You have those mastered – Charlie has recently learnt "sit", which doesn't come naturally for kitties.
February 6, 2016 1:28 am
Good one! Rocco likes Over, In, Through and On! Love your pics!
February 6, 2016 1:58 am
Mr N you are a wonderful model!!! 🙂
February 6, 2016 10:40 am
Mr N makes learning prepositions fun!
February 6, 2016 3:09 pm
Mr. N has mastered 'strike a pose' and this post definitely highlights that! My favorite is Mr. N. in the boat!
February 6, 2016 3:29 pm
Very clever Mr. N. You are ever the photogenic one regardless of preposition.
February 6, 2016 8:19 pm
That is so cute! Mr. N definitely understands. ☺
February 6, 2016 10:36 pm
Why Mr. N, you should be an English teacher! My dogs have mastered On quite well. I love that last photo, your zombie walk! I'd love to teach my dogs to do that.

He's started doing that lately and going up to strangers!
February 7, 2016 12:52 am
The "to" is more than I can handle. OMG! How brilliant! Is "no" a preposition? hehe My dog's don't know any! Wait, they know "off"! Sometimes.

Off is a good one!
February 7, 2016 1:49 am
HA – Mr. N would be the perfect K9 assistant teacher for English as a foreign language 😉 Great post idea!
February 9, 2016 12:00 am
He would probably like that. He never eats homework.
February 7, 2016 2:48 am
I envy people who can get a good shot of their dog. Mine hates the camera and hides when he sees it or looks really mad.
February 9, 2016 12:00 am
Our foster dog wasn't a fan. Mr. N will go put himself in front of the camera un-directed.
February 7, 2016 4:34 am
This is SO clever! My favorite is OVER!
February 7, 2016 5:07 am
This was such a fun post! Thanks for the smile.
February 7, 2016 5:39 pm
Love the photo with Mr. N's ears flowing through the air! So cute!
February 7, 2016 6:34 pm
Mr N is so talented and adorable. You really have done a terrific job training him.
February 9, 2016 12:01 am
Thanks! I enjoy it.
February 7, 2016 11:21 pm
Love this post! Favorite preposition pose here at FiveSibes – would have to be in and out. They love "in" because it signals time with family, their beds, and snacks! "Out" the love because they get to go play. Again, thank you for this great post!
February 8, 2016 5:10 am
Mr. N is very intelligent!
February 8, 2016 6:17 pm
Great post, super cues go with fabulous photos =) Very creative, fun read!

Thanks for the share!
February 9, 2016 1:38 am
This is pawsome but I hope mom doesn't think I'm going to learn that stuff.
February 9, 2016 5:18 am
Ah wow, your photos are always so beautiful!!
