#MixItUp with Instinct® Raw Boost® Mixers and Add Raw to Your Dog’s Diet

If Mr. N were King of the Forest, he would decree that all dogs be fed raw. Sadly (for him anyway), he is not. He declines to eat kibble and has been thriving on raw food. Raw-fed dogs can experience benefits like better digestion, healthy skin and coat, and more energy and vitality. But feeding raw can be time-consuming and burdensome and take over all your freezer space. Especially if you don’t have a separate chest freezer, even for small dogs like Mr. N.

Raw Boost® Mixers but Tenacious Little Terrier only shares information we feel is
relevant to our readers. Instinct is not responsible for the content of this article.

If you want to try out raw food without sacrificing all your freezer space, Instinct® Raw Boost® Mixers is an easy way to add raw to your dog’s diet. It is grain-free, gluten-free and can be used as a mixer or topper for your dog’s normal canned or dry food. No need to add water. You can check out their website HERE
At Petsmart, Mr. N’s nose led him right to the raw food section. The Raw Boost mixers are located with the other Instinct products, next to the freezer. It comes in three different sizes (1 oz, 6 oz, 14 oz). The trial-sized bags are great for picky pups like You-Know-Who and are 1.99 each or 3 for $5. The large bags are currently on sale for 20 percent off. The protein choices include chicken, beef, turkey and lamb for dogs and rabbit and chicken for cats. We picked up a bag of the lamb for Mr. N. I like to rotate proteins as much as possible and lamb is the hardest out of those to find.
We first started feeding freeze-dried raw as a convenient way to feed raw during travel. The Raw Boost Mixers are handy for travel as you just open the bag and serve. You store them at room temperature and they’re good to go. Mr. N will taste test the food and give his gourmand opinion in a few weeks. I hope to train a new trick with them as well.

Are you thinking about adding raw food to your dog’s diet or do you feed raw already? You can learn more about Instinct on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

We'll be interested to see how Mr. N. likes his new food. We don't feed raw, but this might be a great little addition. Will have to check the ingredients.

Love Mr. N on a shelf!! We use Instinct Raw freeze-dried when we travel and we love it! I use it for training too… very motivating! Hope Mr. N loves it as much as Rocco does (I bet he will!).

LOL! We are laughing as our post on this is next week and I am on the shelf too, but I look rather ridiculous being so big on a shelf! Good stuff!

I have a bag of these in the cabinet just waiting to be sampled! I think it seems like a great way to add a little raw for those of us who find a complete raw diet just too overwhelming. I am so glad you mentioned using these for training…I hadn't even thought of that and I bet Luke would love it for that.

I am transitioning my cats from a dry/canned food diet to a raw/canned diet with the canned food being fit for human consumption. It's been about a month and they are thriving – their fur is healthier and they are so much more active! Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey kitties

These Raw Boost Mixers seem like a great idea! The give some great nutrition when you can't have regular raw food. I have wanted to transition my cats to raw and have made efforts a couple of times, but I get a bit of resistance from both the cats and my husband. *sigh* At least they are on wet food!

Mr N looks like he's lovin' the shopping trip. I made a batch of raw food for the cats this morning, Charlie gets excited (and dribbles) at the sight of the grinder now (it's hilarious).

I had not heard of Intinct Raw and it looks like a great product! Perhaps we can add to the raw diet we feed as I bet they'd love it and it would add something a little different to the mix.

Love the idea of these Freeze-dried Boosters. Mr N certainly looks so cute and healthy and they seem like an easy way to add raw. Kilo is thriving on a mix of grain free kibble, home-made and raw food and freeze dried raw.

We try to understand the desire for pet parents to feed their pets a raw diet. For us, its just not something we are interested in. Not to mention, every time we see a dog food recall, it always seems to be some sort of a raw diet, which is very concerning. Love Dolly

Mary has recently started with Nature's Variety Raw Instinct Boosters and I have been using the trial size to find her favorite one. I love being able to provide raw and not have all the hassle that comes from a complete raw diet. This is a perfect product for that. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what you think about it Mr. N.

Excellent review, and great idea to use Instinct raw for travel! We travel constantly and this would be a good product to have with us on the road. Adorable photos of Mr. N!
