We started off at Horsetail Falls. Mr. N was disappointed when he didn’t spot any horses. This hike has two waterfalls within easy hiking distance.
A quick stop to take a photo of the dogs on a rock. Mr. N has his usual serious photo face on but Sage was more interested in watching the scenery, i.e. keep a sharp eye out for squirrels.
Ponytail Falls! Aptly named. Doesn’t that moss look like a scrunchie? I tried taking a photo of Mr. N behind the falls but the results were unsatisfactory.
Mr. N prefers posing by trees and greenery than the waterfall. He hates getting wet and that’s an unfortunate side effect when you’re walking by falls.
We stopped by the viewpoint and admired the view. I had to convince Mr. N not to peer over the edge.
What does your dog enjoy most about hikes?

I like this hike! The girls like sniffing the new sniffs. 🙂

Looks like a great hike! Barley's favorite part of a hike seems to be just getting out of the neighborhood–and I think she kind of likes posing for pictures, too, most of the time 🙂

Mr. N just likes going out and walking. Anywhere. And posing and being cooed over.

You are so cute, Mr. N! Looks like a pretty place to hike, but it is a bummer you don't like getting wet! We love to discover new places, it is always a fun thing to do.

Thanks, Emma! He gets so cold afterwards, it's not really worth it.

Pretty hike. Jack & Maggie love sniffing – they spend most of the time with their noses to the ground and miss the beautiful scenery.

Beautiful hike! Mauja and Atka love sniffing around 🙂

Can't say I've done a lot of hiking with Harley, he's not really into that sort of thing. I have a feeling Jax is going to be my more adventurous doodle so I'm hoping to get out there more this spring and summer.

Having a puppy along will be fun! You might have to carry him a bit though.

Oh my a hike sounds great, I have never done that. Stopping by from the blog hop, I hope you will come visit.

We'll stop by. Nice to meet you!

Oh my goodness, Mr. N is just the cutest & extremely photogenic 🙂 We love hiking past streams, rivers, and water falls ~ thankfully our pups enjoy wading through bodies of water. They're certainly a great way to cool off on those warmer days.

Mr. N will wade but that's about it. He can swim but he prefers not to.

What a beautiful hike. My crew would want to get right in that water, even the beagle likes to go in just to cool off!

Mr. N looks so cute and I love his coat! Rocco likes water, jumping over logs, sniffing stuff and getting filthy! I think the dirt is his favorite part. haha!

LOL I was going to say that Mr. N did not look impressed with the falls in that first picture. 🙂 It looks like a wonderful place to hike.

It looks like a gorgeous place to hike! My dog, Nelly, is not a fan of getting wet either. The dogs I used to hike with had a great recall, so their favorite thing was probably being allowed to be off leash.

Mr. N, sometimes you’re so cute we can’t stand it! Lexy and I just wanna smooch that cute little nose. And all these photos makes our mom want to start hiking.

Living in the city I do not have many opportunities to do hiking with Layla but when I am not working what I try to do is explore other parks which she loves, she will wander ahead of me off leash but never too far phew. I actually read yesterday that some of our beaches will be off leash beaches for longer hours this summer which will be great.

What a funny waterfall! 🙂 Jasmine loved hiking. Particularly exploring new places. Cookie’s needs are different. As long as there are critters to hunt, she can stay in one area indefinitely.

Pretty place! My pups love the smells and the wind. They tip their noses up, close their eyes, and just smell all the smells. One of my favorite things they do. Very blissful.
