I was wondering how to categorize Mr. N’s snow activities for the exercise diary on PetsMove. It’s definitely something more intense than just walking when the snow is taller than your legs and you have to wade through it! I was tempted to put down swimming.

Mr N., you're a real trooper! Looks like a cross country snow trek to me! Do they have that category?! Also, what kind of all-weather gear are you wearing. If we get more snow in Atlanta we may need to look into something like that!

Diane and Rocco

It's not a perfect solution but we (much like you) don't keep much cold weather gear around because we don't really need it. He's wearing a Goldpaws fleece, fleece pajamas and a K9 Topcoat and I put balm on his paws. He still got cold though if he wasn't moving. Rocco has more coat though right?

On Petsmove.org, use the "other high intensity" to classify snow workouts!

Thanks! I think I went with run/walk, I'll have to change it.

That looks like a pretty good workout. We've never been in snow that deep so can't imagine how hard it is to move around in it!

My legs ached for three days straight after. I think I overdid it. Mr. N was fine lol.

Walking/hiking in the snow is a great workout for a dog like you, Mr. N. Plus, all you have to do is scoop up some white stuff to munch on if you get hungry! Hehe. Much love, The Scottie Mom.

We just don't get snow here in Australia like that unless you're up in the mountains – which for us is a 4 hour min drive away. Want to take Kate snow camping this year though! Do you wear doggie booties at all? Investigating gear for Kate the Kelpie!
